About Wargrave Snooker Club

Friendly Village Snooker Club

1The Wargrave and District snooker club is a local community run Snooker club situated in the Woodclyffe Hostel, behind the library in Wargrave. The club consists of three full sized snooker tables, has a selection of Cues for use, and also has a fully licensed bar.

The Snooker tables are operated by light tokens that are purchased from the bar and this allows 30 minutes of snookers. Club hours are weekdays 7.00pm to 11.00pm but members can obtain access to the club out of hours when the library is open. The library however does not sell tokens.

The snooker club has been running on the premises since 1953. The bar is run by a group of volunteers and has been voted CAMRA club of the year for west Berkshire for the last 16 years.

As a snooker club, we welcome all members of the family over 12 years old to come down and join the club. Our members are very friendly and always happy to show someone how to get started if a complete beginner.

Join Our Club

Wargrave and District Snooker Club welcome all members from 12 onwards. We offer a range of membership, including Family and at a very reasonable cost. Come along to the club to see our facilities and one of our bar men will happily explain how membership works.

Members are allowed to sign in guests, so come a long and try out our facilities. Don’t worry if you don’t know the rules, someone is always around to help.

The Bar

The snooker club has a fully licensed bar. The bar offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, plus a small range of bar snacks. The bar offers a collection of bottled bitters and lagers, plus 2 draft bitters. The barrel beer is not tied in any way and we try our best to offer a good and varied selection of bitters from local brewers and some further away.

The club is proud to have been recognised for looking after its beer by CAMRA, and has won the West Berkshire CAMRA club of the year for the previous 16 years. This is a great achievement for a club run by volunteers.
